To wash it I just have one of those long handle extendable brushes that you can get in the RV section of Walmart. To wax it I've always done some kind of ladder acrobatics. However, if you're being told you're better off not doing that it's probably wise not to. Not sure what may be in your area however when we were in Myrtle Beach there was a company that came to the campground and washed and waxed the RVs. I think it cost me a little over two hundred bucks for them to wash everything including the roof and wax the entire unit. Really cheap money to prevent a nasty fall.
