It would probably require a new heavier duty rear axle/differential. And for it to be highway approved, Freightliner would probably have to do the work and affix a new modified chassis info plate to it. The actual rear differental has a rating. Just what is the actual rear axle rated for as it sits? You need to know the axle rating before anything. And then the rear GAWR still rates at what ever the weakest link is.
