Wet passenger floor

Went on a trip out west for 25 days. Experienced the carpet getting wet on the passenger side floor in front of the passenger seat. 03 Holiday Rambler Vacationer. Thinking it must be coming from the dash air. Any ideas?

If the wetness is in FRONT on the Pass seat and not wet along the wall, then the problem is Dash AC condensation. BUT, there should be either a wet path TO the Dash bottom at floor or you would see the condensation dripping from the bottom of the dash onto the floor. IF the Dash itself and the AC HOSES are dripping condensation, there is not a lot you can do about that, That is HUMIDITY. You can attempt to insulate the hoses and such, but that does not really work. When this type condensation happens, make sure you are NOT on MAX AIR setting. MAX AIR recirculates the inside air thru the evaporator and gets colder output air, but increases the likelihood of dripping condensation. NOT on MAX AIR, it brings in outside air and cools that air which will stop condensation problems, but will result in warmer cold air output. Last, IF ONLY at the Pass seat, it also may be the RF tire kicking up water from driving in rain and the bottom of the area above the tire to the Pass seat floor may need to be checked and sealed. I agree with the window..

Question: IS there an "Armoa"

Water has no smell, A/C condensate may tend to have a "moldy" or "Earthy" smell

Coolant (Heater core) has a sickly sweet smell.

No need to answer since I gave you the next level alrady. As far as I can go save for this

1970's both GM and Ford, changing heater core (Cars)
Book says drain cooling system, Nobody does that (Then or now) Clamp hoses (Hemostat style)
Remove hoses from heater core
Remove about a dozen screws from heater core cover
Lift off cover, insulation pad and lift out core
Drop in new one (or rebuilt) replace pad, cover, screws, pre-fill with antifreeze, re-attach hoses, Run engine till warm, Top off radiator

Today
Clamp hoses and remove (Book still says drain)
Evacuate A/C disconnect lines at firewall cap and seal.
Dissassemble dash (passanger side on most cars)
On Renault remove steering column (I kid you not)
Slide A/C evaporator out on it's rails (most cars) and remove heater core

Renault you open heater core compartment and remove

Re-assembly is reverse (Same as before)

I mean why do a 10 minute job when you can take hours?
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

You may also want to check the window. On mine, there are weep holes at the bottom of the window frame that had gotten stopped up and was causing rain to drip down inside. I also went another step and re-sealed the frame against the coach. Found several spots that the seams and joints needed resealing, so I went ahead and resealed the entire roof, and all the side seams with Dicor. No more leaks and wet carpet.

One other possibility - my wife had the Trailer Life RV park book and a couple of other large books pushed under the dash cavity in front of her captains chair. That blocked an ac vent (return air?) and resulted in a lot of condensation forming and wetting the books and carpet in front.

Yep, heater core or a hose going to it is likely the problem.

That's what happened in my regular vehicle when the heater core went out.

Drive slower and your passenger could be better. SORRY could not resist. The two answers above about cover it. Most likely the A/C drain is plugged.

And check for a sweet smell.
Most likely it's A/C condensation overflow (if it was not raining)but it could be anti-freeze from a heater core leak too.

Check the bottom of the HVAC plenum for the drain hose.

Is it getting wet when it's not raining?
