What do you do for WIFI on the road

Aside from from WIFI at CG and cellular on your phone what do you use for internet access for say a lap top while on the road.

Bill Satellite: I can connect any device I like. It's a MiFi device like any other so I have 2 laptops, 2 TV's and both phones connected (saving Verizon phone data usage while at home). My average monthly data usage is around 30GB but I have seen some 50+GB months.

so u can do this for only $45 per month ?? Heck Verizon charges 3 times that for that kind of usage
most people I know on a single phone only plan are paying more than that
How does the TV work thought the mifi ? is it wired or wireless connection?

what I just found. the old 45$ unlimited plan is only a#2 speed (super slow) after 1Gb is used.The new plan is "$70 for Sprint's new truly unlimited plan" Its not reduced from 4g to 2 g
this is only for one line. extra line costs another 30$ and the resolution is not HD its only 480P if u want true HD its another 20$ per month still way cheaper than Verizon but hows the coverage??
But how does the tv work and connect.iam trying to learn and understand whats what and every place I look or ask its a different story
Verizon hi speed 1080 system for 50Gb is $225 plus tax(2 phone lines)
30Gb is $135

I always worry about security on free wifi or even non-free wifi that I have to share with others. - I feel more secure with my own mifi.

To OP, just about everyplace now has free WIFI. Walmart, Kohl's, Casinos, Burger King, etc.... Not really that hard to find it when you need too.

If your current phone does not offer a hotspot option you can get a new phone or you need to change providers. Regardless of what all the kids think, the internet is not Free, nor is it a god or constitutional right. There are only two ways to get internet, either a wired,(cable)service, or radio waves, WiFi or cellular. Wifi in only short range, generally less than a mile, while cellular is better, but not unlimited. Of course, there are satellite systems, which send and receive radio waves from satellites far overhead in most places. What it all means is that "if you play, you pay", unless you can find someone else to pay for you. The trick is to find the most for the least.

I have used 8 GB in the last 7 days for example the other thing is you have to start and stop it all the time which to me is a pain in the butt

If u have 8 devices all using internet and have never hit 6GB in a month then that means vitutually u never use them(for interent) which is fine. I was just pointing out if u use the net like I do then using a cell phone connection is extremely expensive

Not sure why you're not understanding, we use internet all the time, and again, I'm using it now. I just looked and we do have 10gb on the plan, but we've used 5.5 this month and it closes tomorrow. Smart phones and tablet don't really rack up a lot of data, the laptop can, but unless you are emailing a ton of attachments, photos, or streaming u-tube, it doesn't amount to much. Using the phone to take pics and sending them via text can also really kill data quick.

not misunderstanding at all. You only use u say collectively through 8 devices 6GB per month. All I said is you don't really use the internet that much then.I don't stream videos or movies much at all maybe watch one movie every 2 weeks but I use upwards of 40GB per month through just daily fox news,emails,banking, watch the market for a couple hours each day etc so my point was if I had to use a cell phone connection to satisfy my internet wants it would cost me a small fortune and what I hate is on Verizon etc you have to turn off the internet connection each time. On cable u just leave it on 24/7

You are going to need a lo o og cable! Probably won't cost much more than your cell bill for that much data use. But there are trees with celluar antennas.
