what do you do when your stuck and can't move?

When I was in Arizona one year my RV was hit broadside direct hit on my propane system by a runaway truck with no driver. And it just happened to be in the month of December/January when the Winnebago factory is shut down for the holiday season so no parts! Our Insurance Company Geico offered to put us in a hotel/ motel for a month and pick up all expenses occurred. We turned them down and drove back home via towed to Washington.
