as earlier quoted, be specific in what worked and what did not. You did say 12 volts items did not this would mean battery issues (not charging or being charged).
You said items connected to the inverter seem to be ok, but other items no. What other items. So the inverter could have come on, because you are having AC / shore power problems. Do you have separate house / inverter battery bank?
