What was before Forza?

From what I can tell, Winnebago introduced the Forza in model year 2014 - at least I can't find any older than that.

Can anyone tell me what Winnebago's Class A Diesel line(s) were named before that?
  • I don't know that I have all of them, but over the past 20 years they've used the names Vectra, Tour, Journey, Ellipse, Meridan, Horizon, Ultimate Advantage and Ultimate Freedom for diesel pushers. For much of that time Winnebago has had at least two or three price levels of diesel pusher each for the Winnebago and Itasca brands, or sometime two each and one or two higher levels shared (the Ultimate years).

Usually more model lines in boom years, and cutbacks in lean sales years for RVs. Having four DP lines for each brand now, plus a front diesel model in each brand, and two lines of B motorhomes, suggests that Winnebago is hoping for a good sales year.

One of the things that happens at Winnebago is that existing models tend to get bigger, plusher, or at least more expensive, so they will introduce a new model line to get back where they are more in line with competitors' entry-level prices. That's where the Forza fits now, it didn't replace anything, just got slipped in below the other three lines to meet a price point.
  • If you go here Winnebago Product Information you can enter in a desired year and you'll see a list of all the Winnebago/Itasca models for that year. Select a model and you can access the product brochure and all sorts of other info about each model.
