Wheel covers

I took mine off. I hated the creaking and squeaking.

Check out Pacific Dualies, get the ones that bolt on with 4 of the lug nuts.

Maybe your not loosing them. like in some one else only needs one more? sorry I just couldn't help myself but, the bolt on ones would be a better choice in either scenario.

X2 on the bolt-on style. I have them on mine and have never had a problem with them coming off. JMO

We lost the rear two during our 2012 trip - I never replaced them. My brother chased one down early on the trip as he and his GF was following us, then sometime later, it disappeared again without anyone seeing it go away somewhere in Utah or Colorado. The second one decided to part company a week later, probably over those northern California Stop Ahead rumble strips. Those things feel like they're gonna take the suspension out!

I figured I'd buy 2 new ones when I sold/traded the rig. Otherwise, gray wheels are a whole lot cheaper than lost wheel covers. I've thought about painting them bright silver. (I've thought about it, that's as far as it went)

The bolt-ons would be the way to go.

X3 on the Pacific Duallies

I took mine off they are heavy and noisy, I can carry that weight in something else, they look nice but really do not do much but rattle.

Were yours like the Pacific Duallies? I don't think they weigh any more than the factory hub caps. And in the case of the Pacific Duallies, they are held on with the lug nuts, so I don't know how they could rattle or be noisy. I also like it that the only time you have to do anything with them is when you replace the tires - maybe every 9 years or 70,000 miles whichever comes first.

I took mine off to check pressures and never put them on again. Utility before beauty? No way I would be unbolting the cover every time I wanted to check tire pressure.

Mine are extremely light, seem to be chrome paint on very light metal. I don't notice them being noisy. It is a pain to check tire pressure. I am looking into the bolt one ones. I like the look of them or wouldn't bother.
