frelsang.....As many stated, it won't be a rocket, but on flat highways and small rolling hills you'll do fine. Climbing large hills it will struggle, especially towing, and you'll probably be limited to about 35-45 mph. The reality is that you most likely will only spend about 5% of your time or less climbing grades, unless you live out west. So for those few times you'll be climbing, you'll add a few minutes to your drive.
With all that said, I have only one concern about your choice. There are many kits for increasing power that can really make that engine run, but most of those kits are designed for the Allison 3000. We have friends with the Allison 2500 in a Monaco Caymann and they have been very disappointed in the fact that there haven't been any good power kits for that transmission. It just won't handle the increased torque.
Only you know if you're going to be satisfied with the power and torque, but if you're the type that is always wanting more power, this trans may be an issue.
