window fabric relplacement

How do you replace an A&E window fabric on a Class A bedroom window? The hardware is just fine. I only have to replace the fabric. Thanks,

Are you referring to a window awning? If so, you can order replacement fabric from A&E thru Camping World or other RV shops. Or, you can simply remove the fabric and have someone make new fabric for the roller. Matching your existing fabric may be an issue if your color has been discontinued.

You can email Chris at Stone Vos in Florida (stonevos.com). He makes really nice replacement slide toppers and window awnings.
  • Yes I need to know HOW to replace the fabric if the hardware is fine and in good shape.

If you go to the A&E/Dometic website, they should have a document that you can download that will show you how to do that. Basically, the fabric has vinyl cords sewn into the seams and they slide into and out of the track on the side of the coach and the roller. Usually, you have to remove a couple of small screws in the track on the coach so you can slide the fabric out of that track. There are generally two screws in each of the arms that you remove to release the roller from the arms. The roller is spring loaded so you have to put a pin in one end of the roller to keep it from unwinding. The spring is pretty strong so care should be taken with that.
