window valance accent lighting

I have removed my window valances to have them re covered. They do have rope lighting on them. It works "okay"...needs an occasional love tap on a section or two to light up. I'm just wondering if there is newer more reliable lighting designed for that use...led? Now would be the time for me to make the change if I was going to do it. Any thoughts?

    OTOH, if you want to replace them, or change the color/temperature of the light, new LED rope lighting is really inexpensive. Amazon or Ebay.

    Your rope lighting already contains LEDs, so other than 'newer', keep what you have....Dennis

    Search Ebay for 12V LED rope lighting. They sell it by the foot and it is pretty cheap.
