WINDOWS - UPPER 3

I caulked the 3 upper windows and used black and thought it looked kind of messy n a tough job at my age.
I removed it all and recaulked with clear- what a mess as looks like a raccoons face with the white around the eyes
I am worried as one window was leaking into the fabric above the long wood storage above the doors. Now, it has a small drip from the bottom of the window and wonder if it is collecting inside the head liner
Has any one put a small pin in to see if any water comes out - may sound dumb but really don't want it collecting in the headliner
Thanks for any help as seems I need a lot

  • still if the rubber is worn, it's worn.

for those of us in the desert where ozone and sun eat the rubber seals ( hey, but we have no rust!) we get used to the idea of replacing it as the rubber will loose it ability to seal.

auto glass or restoration houses...I get "steele rubber" products from a local fabric store.

seals etc are generic and not specific to any one vehicle manufacture.

just in case you have to consider a "do-over" next season

  • I would have gladly had someone else do the job if I could afford it and of course have to prove to the doubters that I can do it on my own.
  • Not a RT, but I got some stuff from an infomercial called Flexseal and masked around where I thought the leak was and a quick spray and it was done. Had been leaking into the upstairs bedroom on my B.

  • They should be removed, and reinstalled with new gaskets. A good auto glass place should be able to do the job.
