windshield coming out of class A

I hate to say it but it sounds like the windscreen frame is improperly welded, broken or of bad design. I'd return the unit and look for another one. I don't don't think putting some more polyurethane caulking is going to solve the problem. Sorry for the bad news.

I bought a 2004 Holiday rambler Ambassador and the windshield cracked in the corner, took it into glass dealer to replace both windshield and the glass dealer found the center divider was broken at the top and it allows the entire windshields to move back and forth every time motor home shifts. having problem finding new gasket or center piece.

Does anyone know of a good place to get the frame and front reinforced. So if this problem comes back I know where the experts are to get it fixed right?

There are 2 brackets from frame to front cap at bumper level that have separated from the front cap. They were glued but maybe I need to bolt them back on . . . .

No windshield problems but maybe I need to address this before it becomes a problem. 2002 Fleetwood Terra

yes it is a split windshield Marks Moble glass is coming tuesday to reseal both sides.. When I say pop out I mean there is a gap that you can see day light in from around the top of the two windshields and all the way down the outside . I really dont know whats holding it from falling out onto the ground.

Frame needs to be X reinforced near the front. There are companies in Indiana that specialize in this not so rare occurrence. Travel Supremes were noted for it if you doing some searching here and irv2 you're get the background and remedy with pics.

There are several things that cause windshields to pop out. The factory cut the hole to big, factory installed improperly, window frame rusty from moisture, twisting frame while jacking, and hidden damage to front cap frame. The fact it popped out going down the road would suggest on your make either the hole was cut to big and not properly fitted which could be a recurring problem if the repair place is not familiar with how to permanently repair. Usually unless the places pulls the windshield and totally reseals a patch repair likely will not hold!

A LOT of Class A windshields are NOT Urethaned (the CORRECT windshield sealant/glue) in place. When a Class A windshield pops out (YES, it is more common than most think) you usually will find Silicone was used or NO sealant was used. For a professional Glass company that has motorhome experience, they reset the windshield and THEN install the Urethane sealant. You MUST let it sit 24 hours before moving the RV. Once the Urethane sets up, the windshield will stay put. Doug

Is this a one piece or two piece windshield? Your posts says WINDSHIELDS - if two piece, are you saying that BOTH sides popped out at the same time?
