The deal is in progress. Financing arranged, user acceptance inspection complete and down payment made.
This will be an upgrade from the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 2500HD pulling a Montana Mountaineer 32RLT fifth wheel.
Once financing is complete, a contract will be let for the delivery service. Using the same service that Camping World uses to move vehicles to & fro.
Upside: Immaculate condition-operated and maintained by a self professed obsessive compulsive. 20,000 miles. DIESEL PUSHER - what a check ride that was! Goodies include the tow bar with vehicle, 4xbike rack, extra ladder, totes of hoses, power cables, cleaning supplies and general stuff you need. Transferrable maintenance contract, 3.5 years left.
Downside: one time zone and nearly the entire eastern seaboard away. Busy time at work, no time to take a week of casual pleasure to drive home (hence the delivery service). Crossing fingers that the 10' wide raised reclaim driveway is wide enough, may add two feet on for comfort.
Next steps: Fly home, finish financing, prepare to sell truck & fifth wheel as a turn key RV set-up. Take the delivery, hit the road long & often.
