wiring problem
Was stopped for an overnight the other day and the campground cable was off. Turned on TV with booster life is good until I turned on a light and tv went off. turned light off, tv comes back on tried again and same thing. What gives??

- We may all be shooting in the dark here. I took the OP as saying the TV shut off, not loosing the picture.
- Two possible issues, or 3
1: As stated up-thread LED lights can make a lot of Radio Frequency Interference, Television is Radio so LED's can get in the way
2: Regular lights draw a lot of current, if the lights, and the antenna are on the same power wire and there is a poor connection,,, it can drop the voltage too far and POOF.
3: Same for low batteries if you are not on shore power. - It is not LED, but the converter build into some of them.
I have the same in my home bathroom.
Fancy steam room has build-in radio. We don't have too many stations to listen to, but can catch some reception on 3.
Each of the stations dies when I turn LED vanity lighting on.

If it's a bad ground causing power loss to the television, why does it only affect the television when receiving over-the-air broadcasts and not when receiving cable signals from the campground?
Some LED lights have poorly filtered switching regulators that introduce RF hash in the wiring. Poor grounds can exacerbate their effect, of course. Other LED lights have reasonably filtered switching regulators, or linear regulators, or no active current regulation at all.- LED's are causing this? lmao! - I have seen this sort of thing before. It is usually a bad connection and most often a bad ground. Start following wires and tightening things and it will probably go away.
Matt - We had LED's in our ceiling PUCK lights and no issues with the OTA/Sat. TV reception, and the LED's are the CHEAP Ebay 6 for $10.
