Not for the timid

Chili Pepper Madness

There's some great names for these puppies too. Besides the ghost peppers they list such tongue tormentors as
Brain Strain
Carolina Reaper
Komodo Dragon
Naga Viper
Various Scorpion peppers

Extreme caution is urged. Daredevils have been hospitalized.

I agree. I like spicy food but, not the type that numbs your lips, mouth and anything else it contacts.
  • We grow Jalapeno & Guero (Santa Fe Grande) Peppers every year

Lots of Sun and LOTS of water....they are HOT
Great flavor with just enough kick to make you 'leak a little bit'

We are selective when we pick
Jalapenos....some when green, then some when dark green, then let some go red
Guero........some when pale yellow, then some when orange, then let some go red

Cut a piece out lengthwise and clean out seeds
Dice the pieces cut out and mix with cream cheese, chopped onions and finely grated sharp cedar cheese (20-25 seconds in microwave to soften/mix
Then fill up the peeper boats with mixture...top with more grated cheese and bake at 400*F for 20 minutes then 2 minutes under broiler to brown (watch --don't burn)

We make a large plate to snack on while watching a movie, football
  • I will exercise my God given right to avoid all of these.
