Sourdough Pumpkin Scones

Made these on Saturday. Unbelievable! Making some more tomorrow. This time, I will make 16 instead of 8, as they are huge. I also added whiskey-plumped dried cranberries and toasted walnuts.
  • I believe a 100% hydration is equal parts flour and water by weight rather than volume. In any case, mine was pretty soupy.
  • wonder what 100% hydration sourdough starter is? I have home grown persimmon pulp frozen and am wondering what to do with some of it. This sounds good too!
  • Dave, I actually had all the ingredients, the hardest part was finding room in my side by side freezer to chill down the baking sheet!
  • Those look great. I just hate seeing a good recipe that I don't have the right spices for.
