unless one app says it's gonna be clear while the other claims it's gonna rain I don't see where it makes a great deal of difference. I personally can't tell the difference between 55-deg f and 58-deg f. all I need is a general idea of what's gonna happen. if I need a detailed forecast before flying then i'll get a specific aviation forecast but otherwise the weather channel app is as good as any.
You can not tell the diff between 55 and 58 (3 degrees)
But how about the tires on your car if it's raining, can they tell the difference, in the rain, between a road surface temp of 33 and 30?
you bet, at 33 you have traction, at 30 you get panavision.

As Andrew Freedman states, โIn other words, itโs like the GFS model is looking at the atmosphere with slightly blurred vision, while the European Centerโs model has a clearer view.โ
