Browser features for the future

One thing that really bothers me is when I am in the mood to browse the net like news and stuff, I must page down over and over again to get past the stuff I already did not want to read.

Wish they had a feature not to show you the same things over and over again just so you can skip the headlines over and over.

Just saying......

  • Ads - What ads? I don't see any.

Firefox with AdBlock Plus filters them out.

The best part is I seldom go over my 5 GByte monthly data limit.

Before installing FF w/ AB+, I would hit the limit in less than a week.
  • It wouldn't be hard to build a plug-in/toolbar/add-on that could spot most of the ad content in a page and remove it before the browser built the display. If you made it public, you'd spend a lot of time fending off the ad folks - they are often really aggressive types willing to go very near the edges of the law to get you to see their content.
  • If we remove the ADS on ten pages of news, we'd only have one page left, and we wouldn't have that 'page down' problem. :)
  • There are probably ads on those pages they want you to look at.
