Camping World Policies
In the past I have been happy with the purchases I have made at camping world. Two events have changed that feeling.
About two months ago I purchased a replacement head for our wingman antenna. That weekend I followed the instructions for the replacement and found the indicator light did not come on, so I followed the trouble shooting tips and still no light. I called the Camping world I purchased it from to see what to do and was told to call the manufacture. I did they told me I had done all I could and to take it back for replacement. I call the Camping world back to make sure they had another one, being it was 30 miles away. They told me I could not bring it back, being I had installed it. I asked how I would have known it was defective it I had not installed it. I was told it did not matter. The manufacture understood our problem and sent a new one, they did not understand policy.
Then about 3 weeks ago out bathroom faucet needed replacement so we went to Camping world being we were sent a $50.00 gift certificate for joining Coast to coast. We made the purchase of it and 2 other items. We paid with the certificate and cash for the extra amount. This past week I was ready to install it and found out that it did not have the drain plug assembly unit. I found one that did and installed it. Today I went to return it and was told I would only receive $3.49 back even though it cost us $34.99. I was told we did not pay the $34.99 because we used the certificate. When I asked if we could at least receive in store credit for the amount we paid, I was told it was not Camping worlds policy. I ended this trip taking home a faucet I can not use rather then leaving it without credit.
These 2 policies are ones I do not understand. Just wondering am I the only one. Thank You
