Just changed over to Dish network, purchased 211 receiver and King tailgater. Everything went fine until I tried to connect HDMI output from receiver to my video distribution box (came with RV, made by Winegard). All fittings are coax cable.....no HDMI or composite video. I want best signal for HD reception, but how do I make the connection? Is there a converter that will do this?I can connect direct to front TV, but that doesn't help with the other two TV's.If anyone else has done this please help?Doug

There is a converter, but you really don't want to do that if you want the best quality. Best to buy an HDMI switcher.What are your other destinations - where else besides the TV receiver are you going with the output of your sat receiver?

I use an HDMI switch. Not expensive. Works well. Throw away the coax thingy.

Hiking Hunter, the TV signal is sent from the distro box to two other TV's. This is a standard setup for most motorhomes. When I bought this, I thought the distro box would have an option for HDMI input, but it doesn't. (should have checked first). Havent found a box that has anything for HDMI input connection.Everybody with same equipment setup is going to have the same problem until someone make an updated video control center with HDMI input.Doug

Yes, you can do that. You will need HDMI to Coax converter and Coax to HDMI decoder on the other end....kinda pricey but workable. Google HDMI over coax. I'd suspect Amazon would be a good place to start shopping.

Yes, other TV's do have hdmi inputs but getting the signal to the other tvs is the problem. Don't want to run new lines using hdmi cables over 30 feet in two directions.

I just got our first class A and put in our 211 dish box. I put the HDMI to the TV and the coax out to the switch box. The other 2 TV's don't need to be HD and I didn't have to string any wires. HD on the main TV is good enough for me.

Or get a Winegard Travler with either a DISH Hopper or DirecTV Genie -- either of which can sent HDMI over regular RV coax.

Techwriter, the satellite is not the problem. Its the receiver output wiring. On my previous directv receiver the output wire was rg6 digital. This was connected to my video distribution control, allowing the sat signal to be sent to other devices. The Dish receiver (211)output is either HDMI or RCA. Has nothing to do with SAT.

Joebedford, can't tell from image, does the video controller have coax rg6 output fittings?
