Dead Satelite Dish

Our motostat freedom dish has come to an end. Evidently motostat went belly up a couple of years ago. Our rooftop dish is gone to the same demise(dish up)
Looking at replacing the entire system and was wondering about a couple of things.
One question is: which brand, winegard or king dome; those two seem to be the most popular. Are there others? We will keep the receiver(direct tv) for the new dish.
Another question is: the in motion types, do they keep the signal while traveling? how well? Our old one was a roof mounted stationary type. We do have a ground unit for when the trees are in the way. kinda hard to work. we like the automatic feature of the roof top and hope to get one of equal or better reception and signal acquisition. Our old motostat would take about 20 minutes to acquire and start broadcasting
How long do the kings and winegard take?
Who's got the best deals on buying a new one?

Thanks for your response's in advance

Well after doing research and seeing all options; we decided on a king dome Rover 1500. It's a stationary R/T automatic, seems to be designed for retro fits.
I've seen a few King domes on roofs of A's and C's but never asked how they performed, or how trouble free they were.
Winegard seems to be the popular of the 2. Also found some info on the KVH dishes, along with a couple of others.
Price is primary reason as the winegard is about a thousand, and the king dome is 600.00.
Planning on picking it up this afternoon, install over the weekend. After we install and check it out we will let all know.
Thanks again for reading/ replying

we have in motion and have only used it once in 10 years. Our daughter used it in the bedroom. It did hold the signal while we were on the interstate highway with no mountains or trees in the way. The front TV won't operate while the vehicle is in motion. I would not spend the extra money for in motion.

For Direct as I inderstand it no dome type will receive HD programming. Personally unless you really really feel it is necessary to have in motion I would opt for the Winegard Teav'ler. Much larger dish areay for stronger signal, full HD capable.

Thanks for the input, spoke with RF Mogul 275. for software upgrade and controller repair and a no go on RT dish. they laughed when I mentioned the Freedom Dish. Was considering a winegard, less than a thousand, RF Mogul prices started at 2000. plus
