It is 1 June and my East & West DNS feeds are still up for all networks. Maybe they solved the issue?

So reading this link means AT&T has been BS-ing us about it being Congress's fault? It's really AT&T trying to force new contracts with individual networks and using a few small markets as levers. If this is so, any residual loyalty I might have had to AT&T just went the way of an ice cube in a hot pan.

We stopped carrying a dish receiver over ten years ago and haven't missed it. Occassionally put up the batwing to see what we get OTA, but can usually stream everything we need. If we don't have service, oh well.

I've had both Dish and Direct, and Direct has been the lesser of two bad choices. Wouldn't surprise me if AT&T is trying to get rid of the satellite service altogether and stick with streaming as 5G rolls out.

866-974-1848 is the number Dish gave me to call in their Email last Aug when I had to send them a copy of my registration renewal in order to keep my DNS.

timmac is nothing but a troll. Please ignore or he will keep coming back spewing the same nonsense he has been spewing for years!
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

I use a service address in Louisiana, due to the low additional fees.

I send them a new coach registration when I renew in Aug.

I have read what legistration info I could, and I believe, irrespective what DTV claims, it is their choice not to provide DNS.

Dish will continue.

BUT, I will only know for sure, in June.

Thank you. Did you have to change your service address to somewhere in the LA area when your service started? Also, did you have to be physically in the LA area when Dish first set your receiver to get the LA network channels? Getting a straight story out of the the Dish technical reps seems like a lost cause. I knew more about their system, hardware and hook ups than they did and I knew NOTHING when I talked to them.

They are, it's just supposedly easier to change locals with Dish.

I got the same letter as everyone else. I'm not sure changing to dish would make any difference. The regulations should be the same for both providers. I live in MT and receive both east and west coast network feeds. My sister, also MT and directv, gets just one feed for the networks. Not sure which feed. She didn't get any notice. Evidently it won't affect her. Where I live I don't get any tv period unless I'm on satellite. It will be interesting to see what happens. If I lose both feeds I'll have to check out dish as well. Never have gotten any kind of local feeds on directv and don't really care. Directv needs to do a better job of explaining.

I have an LA service address and get it in NM. I'll let you know if that disappears with DNS.
