Dish customer question

No limit to days or number of times (we have Dish For My RV plan). We call and have the service location changed every time we move.

every day if thst's what you want. there are no limits AFAIK. but you may find that the same locals are available over a wide distance. for example, we were in the same spot beam between Rapid City SD and Rochester MN.

Been all over the Midwest and currently in Nevada and no issues. We've called probably in less than 24 hours with no issues. Like a previous poster mentioned, Check your locals at new location before calling. Some areas out west almost cover the entire state.

Original poster again. We're not getting the RV plan. This would be the same as in a house. Do they let you change the service address for that too?

AFAIK, they will NOT switch. I have Dish for house. They let me claim a Winter Home at a different address. The same address every year. I am now getting my local home channels. When I go to my winter campground, I call them and they switch to my Winter Home local channels. And then come Spring, I reverse the process. I have been doing this since 2005. Dish told me in 2005 that being a home account, I could only change to another area for local channels once a year and that location had to always be the same location; their names, Home and Winter/Vacation addresses.

yes. we're not on an RV plan per se, either but we do pay month-to-month.

I think if you can change the service address with your house account you will loose the locals at the house.
We have dish pay as you go and we have changed locals two days in a row more then once.

We've never had any significant DTV upgrade issues, however we've never asked them to do any rig hardware upgrades.

We do local channel changes as required by the spot beam and not usually because we transient into a new town within the beam.

We travel winters and move around a lot. Dish has always authorized our mobile reciever within minutes to recieve the local channels for that area. All it takes is a phone call, tell them where you are with which reciever . Left at home recievers still get local channels for the g'kids.
