I called dish after the rain storm here in the nw and after much discussion and following their instructions they finally told me I had to take it in to the repair shop to get it fixed. All I could get was total signal loss.
I remembered info on rv forums that the original cable was not the best. So I replaced the original cable with a new cable. Now it works just like new! So just because dish tells you what to do doesn't mean they know what they are doing! Just to let you know what happened to me. They never said anything about the cable, just take the receiver to the shop and they can fix it. $$$$$$$
