FreedomPop mingle hotspot

Before I realized Cricket had opened up their Hotspot featuure I had ordered a FreedomPop Mingle Hotspot for $44 and free shipping. The base is a half a gig free of 4G/LTE data a month but they give you a 2 gig trail when you buy it. That plan would be $19.99 a month if I kept it. You can add a single gig for $10 and they have larger plans too as well as roll over features, etc.

The only feature I will add to the free plan is the ability to use 4G and 3G for $4 a month since it gets no 4G here. I'll head into Denver today an see if it gets any 4G down there.

It took a week to get here and had enough charge to fire it up right out of the box. Out here 20 miles from downtown Denver it was only able to find 3G but that was fast enough to read the forums, play pogo and even load up a you tube.

It does run on Sprints network which is better in the east than the west I am told. It will be a back up to the phones hotspot until I hit the road, then it will be a alternative network.

Now if I could find something like it on Verison I would have all three major networks covered.
