It depends on how you plan to use it as there is a gotcha in at least one scenario.
I have an Android phone that I use as a wifi hotspot in the RV for my internet. Since the phone can't be connected simultaneously to both cellular data and wifi, I can't use it as the controller for the Chromecast if I am using it as my internet connection since the controller needs to connect via wifi. It's not a problem for me as I can still use the phone as the internet connection but need to use another device, such as a tablet or laptop, as the controller.
I doubt the Chromecast would work well using campground wifi (I've never tried) so you will need your own internet connection and plenty of data.
