HDMI cable w/o HD DirecTV

Question

I changed out the TVs in the MH to Flat screen units and have HD-DVRs but I will be using with a Winegard Carryout that doesn't provide HD signal. Can I or should I use HDMI cable from receiver to TV or should I use the red/white/yellow RCA cable?

I still use the hdmi with my old dish that I have been using.

Use the HDMI.  It is still the best connection quality available and will pass the HD or SD signal equally well.

You may find handshake issues with HDMI re:  D/hD receivers and some TV's. I know on my cheap phillips TV I often had to power down the TV to restore the HDMI between the HR-24 and my TV.  I now have it wired both ways, HDMI and composite.
