IE-11/crashing problems

Install all of the browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera , Maxthon)and use what works.

Toolbars also give an excuse for an executable to be always running. Some newer ad stuff actually will completely peg your CPU because it uses your computer to mine BitCoins, which is a very lucrative market right now.

IE is OK, but because it is the focus of attacks, I'd use Firefox or Chrome with an ad blocking extension.

Do you really need those toolbars? I never install any in my browser. Chief reason being that though their purpose appears to add functionality, they're more likely there to track your surfing behavior and send data back to the companies who offered them. Primarily for marketing reasons. But that's why so many offer toolbars as it can be quite lucrative to them.

You could use the standalone portable app AdwCleaner which will clean out your browsers of toolbars, adaware, and possible browser based malware.

A rule of thumb with Microsoft products is to wait for the first service pack or major bug fix before installing them. Being a pioneer means playing beta tester for Microsoft for free.

Download IE 10 and then uninstall IE 11 and then install IE 10.

If it ain't broke don't fix it applies when dealing with computers and in particular with Microsoft products.

i dumped IE back about ie7 and have never looked back and not a bit sorry.

Yes, the computer (6 mo. old) is always up-to-date + run Norton, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Smart Defrag--so I don't think there's a virus/malware/update problem. It really only affects me when I go to Yahoo Mail. Today I plan to count the 'crashes'. Chrome is installed. If I 'do' my mail using only Chrome on a given day, then I'll know who the culprit is. Running windows 7 professional (64bit) on one machines with IE 11.0 and not encountering any issues.
Other Machine running Linux Ubuntu 12.04 running Firefox and no issues.

I have had no problems since loading the IE11 designed for Windows7 Premium. I have a Asusi7,8-core, computer from October 2010. I downloaded it the morning after they put it on-line.

I see the usual group of repliers pushing their favorite systems have come out of the wood-work.

I would re-install it making sure you pick the one for Windows7, 64bit.

Your computer could possibly have other problems. Have you checked your Windows updates to make sure none have failed? Also do a full scan to make sure there are not viruses.
