We've been on the road since November and this is my observation.
We have a jet pack on Verizon and have not been without internet, but for a price. We're using about 30 gig a month just surfing and getting e-mails. One thing for sure; don't count of WiFi from the campground. I'd say invest is a WiFi booster, but I don't think it would help.
This guy has a cheap one you can setup yourself.
Campground cable is spotty as well. We got cable at about half the places. I got the Wingman attachment for the old Winegard and added the Sensar Pro booster and have gotten decent OTA from just about every CG this winter. Download the TV Antenna Helper app for your phone. Great at figuring out which way to point the antenna. However, we did decide that the hassle factor of cable/OTA was more than we wanted to deal with, and we'll be looking at a satellite solution before the next big trip. The next big trip will most likely be out west and OTA may be out of the question.
There were a few early adopters for the Rayzar when it came out. The ones that posted here said to save your money.
