Jack Antenna Blue Lights ???

On the Jack TV antenna there is a "power" switch.

Does it do anything except turn on the blue signal strength lights?

Does it turn on an built in signal amplifier?

It does make a good night light. . . . :S

My TV reception does not seem to improve with the power on. I get signal strength of 3 on 1 off.
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

If you are talking about the switch at the base of the antenna, I had the same question after installing my Jack Antenna. The owner's manual was vague, so I emailed King Controls and here was their response:

"The switch only turns on the the LED lights for the signal finder, it does not turn the amplifier power on or off in any way. It is meant to be turned off after you lock in your strongest signal."

The blue light just shows that the amp in the antenna head is getting power.

It turns on the amplifier. When you turn it off the signal just goes straight through. There's a switch on the side of the housing with the blue lights that just turns those off.
