Just ordered a satellite

I'm not sure what you mean by satellite.

Deep pockets! Is it geosynchronous or a standard orbit, or something exotic like a polar orbit? Is it a new bird, or did you buy one already in orbit?

Satellite TV or satellite internet access? Which company, and what brand of equipment?

Hard to answer the question with such a dearth of data.

For sure...Satellite = $200 Mil + $100 Mil to get it up there!!!

If you ordered an antenna for satellite TV, there is no WiFi option. What have you ordered and who makes it? Make and model and additional information would be helpful.

When you launch your satellite can I be Chris Craft? (Deep voice) “Everything is A-OK” over and over.

If you are talking about Dish. The Wally can be used to connect to wifi to watch Netflix and other web based content.
It uses a usb wifi adapter.

And the liability insurance in case it returns to earth in somebody's bedroom.. Yup.. Those birds are EXPENSIVE.

Ok internet satellite I believe there are still a couple out there for RVers and one more in the works.

Output of the sat-Transponder/Modem is LAN CABLE (Cat 5 or 6) A wi-fi Adapter (AKA wifi router) lets you connect to it from your laptop without wires.

Sat TV. The only thing I can think of is remote control via an app. Never heard of it.

Cellular Data (I use that) aka Hotspot or Phone-Hotspot.. Another name for the Hotspot device is Jetpack (Verizon) or Wi-Fi Adapter. it converts Cellular Data to Wi-Fi. I do that with my Samsung Galaxy S-8

Oh. that's also the name of the USB dongle that allows a laptop or Desktop without Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi router.. Wi-fi adapter.

And the LINKSYS WGA=54G is a Wi-Fi Adapter.. WIFI in.. lan out.

I used Space X out of Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space center. They had decent prices to get my satellite in orbit since they reuse the launch vehicles.

Being a former NASA employee (true) and a DIY type, I built my own satellite. Renting the clean room was expensive but once I got everything going, the project didn't take too long.

I have thrusters to move the geosynchronous satellite over my location when needed.

I put in a camera and interet. Future plans are for a high power laser to aim down at those who cross me.
