Placed order for the Kindle Paperwhite with high res and next generation light w/offers for $119 with Amazon today.
Still plan on getting new Fire HDX 8.9" with 4g LTE. Debating on either to pre-order or wait for any bugs to be 'ironed-out'. Leaning towards pre-ordering and trusting that Amazon will 'make things right' if necessary.
As DW is constantly on the road, alone, I feel strongly about getting the HDX with 4g LTE. Should her cell phone 'die', get damaged, or stolen, she has a second device.
BTW-One of the You-tube videos showed a guy using a tablet as a phone. Not sure if this was for real or 'staged'. I want to check this out as I like options in case of an emergency. (I'm a 2 (or more) flashlights person)
Once the HDX is deliveried, hopefully the DW will 'let' me use it, since she will have the Paperwhite............See, I am smarter than I look!!!!!!!!!!
