Larger font sizes

OK, I've searched this forum for the key strokes to make the fonts size larger. No finds. I know someone answered the question earlier this year.

Thanks.

  • Look right on this page at lower right.
    "adjust text size"
  • And if that doesn't increase it enough......

Then hold down control key (ctrl) and tap 'plus' key (+) until it is as large as you want
  • While holding down the 'Ctrl' key, hit the '+' key a few times until the font is at the desired size.

To return to 'normal' hit 'Ctrl' and '0' (zero) at the same time.

    Easy as 3.14159265.
  • Or....If you are using a mouse with a roller, just press down on the Ctrl key and roll the wheel.
  • Ctrl + increase
    Ctrl - decrease
    Ctrl 0 reset to default

Also if using Firefox Select View/Zoom and Text only. This will increase only the text - not images. Makes for easier reading keeping everything on the page visible.
  • To increase fonts on entire PC, in XP (similar in W7 and 8), go to Control Panel>Display, and in the Appearance tab you can select Normal, Large, or Extra Large.

In similar fashion, you can select the Settungs tab of the abovememtioned menu, and set the screen resolution lower than it is now

Also in the Advanced button of the Settings tab, you can set the DPI to large - this makes the fonts larger in system popup windows like Clock, Task Manager, Display, Wireless, etc.

You will have to SCROLL down to the bottom of the page.

You can also try CTRL + and CRTL - But that works on the entire page, NOT just the text.

Lower res, like 800x600 vs 1024x768, gives much larger fonts everywhere

This is what I was looking for. Thanks!
