I don't have one but have you considered a Garmin made for the truckers? Click HERE
I bought this Garmin dezl 760LMT and have been profoundly impressed with it. I also bought the BC20 wireless rear view camera to link with it as well. The dezl and the RV model are basically the same unit. I love the voice activated command capabilities and the RV specific parameters that can be programmed into the unit. With a smart phone linked to the GPS through the voice-activated Bluetooth, I don't have to touch anything while underway. I travel with the camera on rear view mode all the times, which assists with lane changes, and I can still hear the voice directions and traffic alerts from the GPS. Toggling back and forth between the GPS & camera is very easy so I have a GPS and a rear view camera on just one monitor, leaving the dash uncluttered. Don't know about the Good Sam unit, which I believe is the Rand McNally 7720, but I too had been looking at that one before I decided on the Garmin dezl. I had Garmins in the past and had very good luck with them so I stayed with Garmin. Real happy that I did. Good luck on your decision.
