RV video control center with hdmi input, coaxial output

Allot of them do now. The Tour and Ellipse both have HDMI routers with remote control at each output.

The link above uses coax as a link between the two boxes, but is not conventional RF and likely won't work through the switch box, meaning you have to switch or physically move both ends when you want to use it.

Well, that makes a lot of sense. I kind-of thought it was something to do with proprietary restrictions. I just couldn't imagine that NOBODY hadn't thought of this before, and why RV mfg'r don't have HDMI cabe already installed.

Under a $100 for the splitter and cable versus a whole more than that for an HDMI modulator made the decision easy.

FWIW, take at look at how the electronics stores display their HD sets - there's no HDMI cables back there. Mostly RGB. Once in a while, HD over coax . . .

The point was NOT to run 50 foot of cable when the present coaxial cable that came from the RV MFG will carry the HD signal.

it will carry OTA RF HD broadcast signal , NOT HDMI

HDMI "digital" signal from the Sat box "REQUIRES" THE Multi-strand HDMI cable,

there is MULTIPLE signals being sent on that cable
NOT modulated RF

what you would require is a HD RF modulator to create broadcast digital RF to be carried via coax

HD video over coax it will cost a lot more than installing a new cable

I have done a lot of research for others on this and I have found some HDMI-Coax modulators (HDMI in, channel 3 or 4 out, just like the old NTSC- A/V in-3/4 out modulators for DVD's)

problem is they are costly

I know of nobody who makes one set up with a multi-switch for RV use. but

Judging from the price of the Amazon HDMI-to-Coax converter a poster listed, adding an HDMI out on a Video Control Center would boost the price of a center considerably.

So your options are . . .

(1) Pulling HDMI cable to the other TV(s).
(2) Using a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver.
(3) Using an HDMI-to-coax signal converter.
(4) Run all Video (and Audio) through an AV receiver, but you'll still have to pick a method to get HDMI to the other TV(s).
(5) Install a DirecTV Genie or DISH Hopper sat system both of which can use existing coach wiring to send HD over coax.
