Satellite problem 2014 Keystone Avalanche

I transferred my satellite system from my old RV to my new 2014 Keystone Avalanche. I connected the cable from the dish to the RV's satellite input connector, but the receiver does not see it. If I run a cable from the RV's back side of the connector and just string it to the receiver it works fine. I made sure I connected through the satellite connection and not the cable TV connection on the external connections. Does anyone know how Keystone ran the cabling on a 295 RL Avalanche. Any help would be appreciated.
