Satllite dome

I mounted my Carryout on my rear ladder now I have to run the cables from the the back of the rv to the front where the connections are. I wonder if I should just run them outside the belly or should I enclose them in plastic conduit. Either way it is going to be a pain in the butt....getting inside the belly would require taking it all down....
  • assuming the fittings on the end are the small "F"?? ones, I think I would just run it outside of the belly covering material inside cheap 3/4 inch PVC piping to protect them from tossed up rocks, etc.

  • I have seen guys with the ladder mount and it seems that they just roll up the coax and power cord and bungee cord it to the ladder. May not be as neat as you would like. But heck, it's small compared to some things I have seen hung on the ladder.

On another note, here in Quartzsite, AZ there is a vendor with a ladder mount for $50. And I like it better than the almost $200 mount from Winegard.
  • Yous should not need to encase them in anything as long as you can keep the cables secured where they cannot get caught on something.
