Tv /cabel/antenna wiring

2016 sportsman tt 28ft, I unfortunately created this issue, I tried to operate my dish tailgater, ( for some unknown reason initially the tailgater didn't work) thinking that my dish would not work going through a splitter . The splitter which was located in line next to the output plate where I would attach the tv output cable.

I took the splitter out, then wired what I assume now is a straight cable from my outside input hook up which works great. Thus disconnected the roof antenna.
I did take a few pics of the wireing that I removed, this was located overhead
where the tv cable is connected. There is a switch that marked on/off, with a green light for on, assume this is a tv antenna related feature.

Question wanting to use antenna an still have tailgater/satalite.

1. If I was able to reconnect as it was from the factory should my tailgater work going through the factory set up with a splitter
2 if the tailgater cable is connected to the TT, I assume that the tv antenna won't work?
Excuse the poor wording, my goal is to use the tt antenna when we can rather than fool with the dish box an tailgater.

Now to get the original wiring put back
  • Mod my RV website has the rewire mod that may alleviate your situation. We did this mod over a decade ago to our supposedly satellite ready rig, we found our single exterior coax input ran directly to a splitter, since mod we have no issues using satellite, OTA, or even cable, which is rare since degraded video and severely lacking channel content leads us to go satellite in most cases.

I have always advised the same

    Restore all original wiring

Run a brand new RG-6 Line for the Sat Receiver.. Direct from a connection point (Bulkhead you add or in my case a ground block on the brake bell crank baracket) to the receiver and from the connection to the antenna.
