TV cable wiring, where does it go?

I have a 2013 Keystone Alpine 3720FB. I am wiring it up for Directv.

so where do the wires from the side access service go?

I took off the the compartment separator behind the access bay.

two RG6 orange wires, run to the wall at the bedroom steps, and up.

there are 4 outlet locations in the RV..

Living room TV three coax jacks,
1 black (tv currently coax connected and is output of the batwing amplifier)
1 orange - my coax wire signal tracer just barely picks up this wire on one of the two access bay wires.
1 grey.

amplifier, ceiling of front bathroom
3 coax, one coax jack on front of plate.
1 - orange
1 - black
1 - grey

front bedroom tv
1 - black (tv currently coax connected, output of amplifier)
1 - grey

compartment at access bay, curb side ceiling
1 orange.

behind the other wall separator in the basement
there is a 1x2 splitter

1 wire out is orange to the compartment coax jack
1 wire in is black, come up out of the floor
1 wire out is black, goes back down into the floor next to the other black wire.

so I 'think'
1 orange in goes to living room location. as satellite in.

1 orange in goes to amplifier location, cable in
--- black out of amplifier goes to all tv locations, with
--- splitter in basement to the jack there
--- grey into amplifier is batwing.

grey at living room tv location is intended for output of satellite back to bedroom tv.

currently no way to connect basement to satellite

---

summary
living room tv location has 3 coax jacks
bedroom tv location has 2 coax jacks
basement has 1 coax jack

my wire toner doesn't get good signal on any wire.

I used this toner to run coax and cat 5 in a 4,000 Sq ft house,
so I know it DID work, and the signal at the tone inserter is strong.

I 'think', if my wiring understanding is right I can do it like this
(cable and batwing unchanged)
  • The HR24 dvr arrived today. And I was able to setup the wiring as proposed in my diagram, and test both the living room and bedroom setups.

That means the outside attach coax run as hoped! Now to label them

Your post is a little confusing to me but I'll add a couple of points. If it's SWM your shooting for you need to have a PI in place to power the LNB. Second, do you have visual access to each splitter? You label them as SWM so I will assume they are power passing. If the toner sound is weak it could be the signal is passing through another unseen splitter. Have you installed the receivers/ antenna yet to see if it works?

I can see the one known splitter in the basement used for the cable/ota jack.
My 'Assumption' is that the wires from the outside are not split anywhere on their runs to the two endpoints, living room and the amplifier.

The power inserter is shown on the left of the basement section. Red box on left with 'inserter' vertical next to it.

The SWM splitters I have to install, they will be here Tuesday. The hr24 will be here tomorrow. The SWM LNB 3 Dish and tripod are ready. The two h25's will be here Wednesday/Thursday.

Notice the PI is BEFORE the first splitter, so power passing is not used here.

  • Not labeled 'cable'. Supposed to be 'satellite'
There are two coax connections. Neither labeled.

here is the updated pic with the cable, amp & batwing added

  • It is extremely unlikely that you will be able to use an RV connection labeled Cable for Satellite as any splitter in any connection will kill your setup.
It appears you are trying to do a SWM DirecTV setup with does allow "that specific SWM splitter" but it not compatible with any other type. The yellow and grey lines in your diagram will not be usable as they go to and come from the roof top OTA TV antenna amplifier. You are going to need most new wiring throughout to get satellite working, especially if you ever want to be able to use your local OTA TV antenna.
