Everything in the s&b is Samsung. Signature trailer we bought last spring is a 32 Sony. Secretly hoping it will die so I can replace it with a 40 Samsung.
Chances are that Sony will out last all your Samsungs.
Samsung does build the screens for most Sony's but the Sony internal parts are FAR superior to the junk Samsung puts in its TV's.
The screens all look great at the store but it is the internal parts that limit how long the TV will last at home.

Can you back that up? This is not the Tier 2 Samsung of 20 years ago.
When my Samsung TV died when it was 3 years old I did research on the different TV's I found that Samsung provides most of the screens to the other companies. Including Sony. I also was able to determine, at least in the higher end sonies, that the capaciters and the other electronics are much better built to handle any heat and normal electronic wear and tear.
I ended up buying a Sony XBR line which is the higher end. Before doing my research I would have simply bought another samsung. So far I am glad I bought the Sony even though it cost more.
Do a little research your self. It is not the screen that fails on TV's it is usually a faulty part inside that failed.
