the MOHU LEAF is paper thin. 8x10. All you would need to do is slap/tape it in your windshield, side window or back window of your truck. Plug it in and there you go tons of channels!

If you need a power source also:

For power you need a jump-it starter box and small inverter. I ran a TV all night long on one charge. It has a 12v plug for cig lighter to recharge by starting your truck or find an outlet outside the stadium or inside a bathroom to plug in to recharge.
....PLUS.....

When you are all done tail gaiting you can take that antenna home and hook it up to your TV put antenna anywhere on the wall no window required and watch all the channels and sports you want for free.

And keep the jump starter in your truck. You will be amazed how many friends that need a jump you will be able to help and/or your own truck! :C

Lots of good ideas. I have done all of the above w the exception of buying the right antenna. The one I got was a cheap non amplified version so big change is getting the Mohu it appears.

If you are tailgating this implies a pick up.. You have the holes to mount things on top.. You can get a "Stick" (Length of the proper size lumber) and stick in there.. Mount something like the JACK antenna (only time I"d recommend it) on the top of the stick, use the directional one so you can aim it Make the stick as long as you can or....

Use and extendable painter's pole to mount the thing. again the pole should (Minus bottom grip) fit in the hole in the Pick up, and a wooden wedge to hold it, and you can rotate it as well.

Easy. I did it and actually saved money.

This plan will not work for you if you don't have home cable.

I dropped Comcast. Picked up Dish for the house --net savings of about $100 per month and have more channels.

I bit the bullet for a 1-time purchase of $100 for a Tailgater antenna and $80 for the receiver. This was a few years ago and I got a good deal on a Tailgater that someone was selling on Craigslist. There is a new version of the Tailgater so you may do better on price on the old version.

Now, when I need Dish in the RV I pay $7 per month to activate that receiver. I turn it on in April/May for travel season and turn it off after my last tailgate party. This year that will be WVU hosts OK State October 28. Just in time to save me the $7 for November.

If you want to save a few bucks, you could carry the receiver from the house for every trip.

Get about 200 channels with lots of the sports channels for just about every game possible.

Seriously, there isn't a whole lot of channels available in that part of the panhandle - whatever is available out of Tallahassee or Thomasvile, GA is about it unless you have a long range antenna which can get very large and cumbersome.

If I were to use a medium size deep cycle battery with inverter instead of the Honda 2000, how much run time for a small to med led tv? Or is there a better power source.

Antenna is a basic indoor rca antenna.

try a different antenna. tv signals are line of sight. even a cheap on-the-roof residential style antenna mounted to a 10-20 ft piece of pipe or pvc will do wonders.
