- Dave_From_AKExplorerFrom my most current bill:
When Millenicom went TU, I took up Verizon on their offer of $99.99 for 20 GB, and they told me that the veteran's discount does not apply to special offers like that. - hcs1947ExplorerI have the discount through my employer, and it is on the regular service. Do not have a data plan as we do not have smartphones...
- BobboExplorer III just went with Verizon last month. My employer has a discount agreement with them. The discount is definitely on the data plan but not on the voice plans.
- dreamerExplorerI have a data only plan with Verizon and went through all of the hoops for the veteran's discount and was denied. They said it was for voice plan and not data plan. Just went through this with them this summer. Good luck.
dreamer. - cpaulsenExplorerIf not a vet....check with them because they give discounts for being retired from some state governments also.

My local store said only retired vets when I inquired. I already get a 15% discount for being a member of another group, and they said no additional discounts (which makes sense). It is on the base minute plan only, comes to about $6 a month.
All vets your store was wrong - rr2254545Explorer

Went on line last night and 10 GB of data is now $80 I was able to change my plan and save $20 but it was not automatic I had to do it.
Is that a limited time price, and it goes up after a year?
No this is based on the current plan not a limited time offer - OH48LtExplorerMy local store said only retired vets when I inquired. Not correct it is on the data not the line charges
Some plans and features, such as Unlimited data plans, Family Share secondary lines, and Share Everything Line Access are not eligible for discount.
15% discount is on the monthly access fees on new and existing service on eligible plans with a monthly access fee $34.99 or higher (on Share Everything plans, discounts apply to Account Access $34.99 or higher) and eligible data features with a monthly access fee $24.99 or higher when added to such plans
