To my surprise It has a feature called “fastlane” that picks up the 2GHz campground WiFi and rebroadcasts it on 5G for a faster connection.
That may be deceiving. You can't make it go faster, end to end, than the slowest section of the total path.
Changing the transmission speed from your devices to your router/concentrator/repeater likely does not make it go faster.
And it is 5GHz transmission band.
5G is something different. - I had a repeater in my home and it never did work well. Good luck.
I understand the repeaters typically cut the speed in half when the signal is boosted. Of course a stronger and more reliable connection is needed first and speed is a secondary issue.
Campground wifi is best for basic email. No video and limited browsing the web. Some campgrounds will put a limit of block data intensive websites. - LwiddisExplorer II“Poor wifi at campground”
Band width or signal strength? Be more clear in your complaint. Possible solutions are different. - wa8yxmExplorer IIII use one in many parks but mine is kind of different. Wi-Fi Ranger is the closest to what I use.
I've set up some for others as well with good luck

Fun to set up. and the M2 won't always connect (some parks still use WPA instead of WEP and M2 only does WEP) but.. WOrks well.
I have another "Front end" for WPA parks. - neschultzExplorer

IF....the problem is a weak signal, then yes it probably would help some.
BUT....if the problem is not enough capacity on their connection back to the ISP, then nothing will help.
Our campground for the winter seems to have enough capability but is weak enough to occasionally drop out in the TT. I mounted a NETGEAR AC1200 outside in a plastic tub on the propane tank cover and it works great. Poor wifi at campground . Has anyone had any success with a pug in repeater ?
Asked and answered about a thousand times on here already.

What that means is any thing they "hear" on that WiFi channel IS repeated. This can sometimes be a problem if there is a lot of traffic and the Extender-Repeater is not up to the task.
A better solution is a better antenna. This almost impossible because laptops and tablets have no external antenna connections. One way around this on a laptop is an external WiFi (typically USB) with an external antenna connector. Then of course you need an external antenna.
