- swarren169ExplorerNot sure how accurate this URL is. Mississippi is value based not flat rate.
- LwiddisExplorer IINo other consideration except cheapest Class A registration?
- nadkaw1957ExplorerBe wary of the chart in this link. I live in NV, and yes, the base rate may be $33, but by the time they add various taxes, the registration for my 2015 RAM 1500 is about $600.
- 2oldmanExplorer IIOP can search and find a better one. Join Escapees. They're pros about this stuff.
- CharlesinGAExplorerSouth Dakota, Texas, and Florida are the three states favored by about 90% of the full timers for permanent residence, so you would be wise to check those three first. Other states may be cheaper, but could cost you lots more in other respects such as vehicle insurance, medical insurance, getting a place to receive mail, etc.
Charles - kerrlakeRooExplorerIf you check areound, I think you will find other things to be bigger driving factors on cost. Insurances, State taxes etc.
If this is an effort to find the cheapest way to live, as others have said, read up on escapees.
In general all three mentioned Fl, SD and tx tax wise are good choices, Vehicle insurance, I found SD to be best for mine, Health insurance from what others have told me, if you are not on medicare and are insuring yourself, Fl supposedly has more and better choices,
Choose wisely grasshopper - rv2goExplorer II"Cheapest State for Class A License Plate"
Tennessee state plates cost $30.
Each county can add a wheel tax of $30 to $60. So the most you will pay is $90.
A vanity plate cost $25. - IvylogExplorer IIII just renewed my MHs FL tag for two years on line...$125 or $62.50/year. Two years ago it was $75/year.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIOne warning about NV.. Each county is different.. Clark County I priced the cost there and dang near needed to change Undies.
