Thanks for insurance! It was a big job replacing the 37' of roof for our Alpenlite. One tree limp hole as a result of a severe wind storm plus I did not realize that removing skylights and such often results in cracked plastic. New AC gaskets and all sorts of small stuff. Rot areas were small but still needed repair.

When it came time to replace our roof I went to a TPO roofing company that we work with all the time. Our 25' 5er was $975 and they replaced a couple of plumbing caps and resealed everything. I was quoted $2,500 from our dealer to fix it. I might of got a better deal since we work with them all the time but my wife's uncle took their 29' Class C there also and they replaced almost all of the deck and re-roofed theirs and it was about $1,750. They were quoted $3,500 from their dealer.

Had mine done on my Wilderness (27 ft) couple years ago, was about $3500 as I recall.

Very hard question to answer due to the many variables from size, extent of damage, what is under the membrane, to possible water damage. Of course your location is also a factor.

Having had to look into a roof repair recently, I can tell you it is the professional labor that costs the most. The parts not so much. Most RV garages around here charge well over $100 an hour.

So, a complete replacement done properly around (pretty expensive) here will run you anywhere from $3000 to $5000 on a 25 ft class C. It could easily go much higher with rot and water damage.

I did it my self with EPDM top coat and primer for $200 including some wood (actually luan plywood) replacement and some rafter repair (2x2 pine). That was 10 years ago (or more) and I still do not have any leaks. I did the slide seams a couple of years ago on the slide roof and sides after I found some leakage at the corners of the slide roof, but I had not worked on the slide roof when I replaced the main roof.

Of course here in NM we do not get a lot of rain so maybe my repair would not have lasted this long in another location. We did weather the CA El Nino of 07-08 with no problems and visits to Corpus Christi, TX during a once in a life time snow storm at X-Mas :)

I am probably going to go with RV armor as well, when the time comes. It makes sense to also replace stuff on the roof as well (upgrade the vent caps to the vortex ones, toss the batwing antenna for a Jack, etc.) That way, once it is sprayed, the job is done for a long time to come.

I called for estimate over the phone couple years ago. I told them I didn't need a bid to the penny, just a good ball park number. Reason was I didn't want to bring RV to their shop until they had materials and ready to work on. I didn't want my RV sitting in their yard for who knows how long. Over the phone I was "ball park" quoted $100.00 a running foot, plus $50-100 for every opening. I was also advised that once the old roof comes off... if anything needs repaired/fixed (any bad wood) price went to their usual hourly labor rate plus materials. And don't forget you might need some new vent covers and other odd and ends. And was also given couple choices for thickness of rubber roof. Don't remember the mill thickness they talked about, but they were real close to a roofing place that has material for rubber roofs on buildings. On thicker rubber material the weight wasn't much of an issue, but price sure goes up quick.
