Getting RV inspected in TEXAS on Sat is PITA

I am trying to find a place that can inspect my travel trailer for Texas inspection on Saturday like we can with our cars. I do not want to take time off to get it inspected during work days. Is there a website I can look up for a place to inspect it near my home? I live in north Austin, TX, but the TT is stored in Liberty Hill, TX.

No inspections for RV's in AZ. Emissions on cars (no safety). RV's have to be RVIA certified when new but without inspections how would they know? Most are anyways.

I love Tennessee. No inspections for trailers, the only inspections for emissions are in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis metro. If you live out of those areas no inspection at all. The fiver has a lifetime "SEMI" plate, with the disabled veterans plates on the truck and the wife's car also being lifetime I never have to set foot in the county clerk's office to renew my plates ever again.

I did mine at a busy RV repair location that also does RV sales. Went by and talked to them about an appointment, they told me one was not necessary.

When I came in, the inspection qualified tech took a short break from the repair he was doing on a Class A, checked my lights worked, my tires for excessive wear and had me pull forward and stop with the trailer brakes. Then completed the paperwork - all in less than 10 minutes.

I asked why they stop work for an inspection, and was told that in order to be able to inspect new trailers and motorhomes which come into Texas, they have to offer annual inspections. They could lose their inspection station license if they don't accommodate annual inspections, and for trailers those are very simple.

That's what I did. Checked the website for the station closest to me. Called them to verify. I took it up there early one Saturday, he got right on it. Well, what he did was walk around my trailer and look at it. Took longer for paperwork that actual inspection. I think I was his first, he knew he was supposed to do them but didn't really have a plan.

ALL vehicle inspection stations in TX are 'qualified' to inspect a travel trailer. Many are not aware of this. I called ahead to verify a local shop would do it. A bigger issue may be whether you can physically maneuver the rig into and out of the location.

I dunno if RV outlet mall will get you in and out the same day, I could be wrong...

Because the forcing of inspection is relatively new in TX, might call to ask to make sure whatever place you do will do a trailer.
