How to find a good service center
We bought a new Winnie 3 weeks ago. Before we closed we picked our add ons and they had 3 weeks to put them in. We took the RV out for a weekend and brought it back with a minor punch list of broken or inop items. I certainly expected a few .
What I didn't expect is for things like installing a satellite antenna and repairing a faulty waste valve and a few marker lights to take weeks to fix. It was my bad to pay before the work was done but except for the shake down cruise we would not have known anything was broken.
I also did not expect to have calls not be returned or a steam of assurances broken. I didn't expect my salesman to stop answering questions after we purchased the RV. I did not expect every tech to be off on every day we have gone back to pick it up. The GM and service people really don't seem to care and their appears to be no way to leverage them into doing so.
Is my best bet just to find another Winnebago service center. We had reservations at a park this weekend. We were told last Saturday to pick it up today. So far today it took 2 hours to get a call back. We've been waiting 3 hours for him to walk outside, check with the tech and call us back with a status. I hope this isn't normal but fear it is.
