I 70 west of Denver .. vail. Pass..
Hi.. Has any one traveled the east bound lane. Recently ? Someone told me the road is in poor condition . .. Deep pot holes... Jim2007.. we are planning the use this road in about a month.

- Just returned from that area, yes many pot holes, some very big and deep. Didn't sustain any damage but boy did they rattle the teeth.

- Just went over it eastbound two weeks ago, Many potholes and broken pavement. Lots of work going on with narrowed lanes.
- Everytime I travel I-70 east or west there are a lot of potholes, I am getting in the habit of looking for holes in the roads in every state now.
- Lots of freeze/thaw cycles tear up the mountain roads. Keep an eye out for pot holes. You can miss nearly all of them if you do not go too fast. The interstate is the easiest way across CO.
