New to RV'ing and need help.

Hello,

My wife and I are new to RVing. We purchased an RV in Saskatchewan in February. We purchased a truck to tow this trailer. We live in Prince Edward Island. Our plan was to drive out and pick up the trailer this summer but my wife has been diagnosed with cancer and now can't travel. I was in BC when I got the call from here that she was sick. I had to leave my truck out in BC and flew home.

I am now looking for options to get my truck and camper back to PEI. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
  • Thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. Praying for a speedy recovery for her. God bless.
  • Only halfway economical option is to fly a friend, relative who has some free time and knows how to tow a trailer to BC and have them pick up the camper on the way back.
Have you considered trying to just sell the camper? And the truck? Also hard to do remotely, but an option maybe?

Sorry to hear about your wife, best wishes to you both.
  • Darryl,

You probably are not a member yet, but if you contact FMCA, they may be able to help. The programs that I know of are to RVs home after difficulties, but that means that they have to know something.

  • Do you have a good friend you could pay the expenses & they get it ?
  • Call up a local dealer, they likely have delivery guys who bring in there stock.

Unfortunately, it's likely to be a pretty penny to have it hauled home.
  • You can Hire a professional driver to deliver it. Call a transport company.
